an agreement between the IUT of Computer Science of Nice
and the Cegep of Shawinigan (town located half way from
Montreal to Québec),
I carried out the second semester of my DUT second year
between the Cegep of Shawinigan and the Customer Help
Center of Shawinigan (SAC).
formation I followed contained the following courses:
internship at the SAC of Shawinigan had the following goals:
-Advanced topic in Computer Science: UML.
-Mathématics: Statistics (Project with the C langague
IT responsible: Update of the whole ACCESS database system
containing more than 15000 customers information. Addition
of new VBA functionnalities linked to the accounting company

This internship allowed me to improve
my integration capacities in a professional environment.
My involvement in this service gave me new skills in communication
and negociation as well as more experience in team work.
The important aspect of such association with more than
15000 customers each year allowed me to develop a high
sens of confidentiality in my work, as I had to deal with
private customers information everyday.

Shawinigan is located in Mauricie, a rural region of Québec.
Even if being a little town, I discovered very attractive
area, a new vision of studying and working, as well as a
lot of warmly people.The
